sony cybershot dsc t700 Sony Intros 2 Point and ShootsIt’s a busy day in the new camera! Today, Sony introduced two point and shoots, the Cybershot DSC-T700 and DSC-T77. The T77 is pretty basic, but the T700 is interesting because it has 4 GB of internal storage. That’s enough space to store 1,000 images in full resolution (10.1 MP) or 40,000 of the VGA. In organizing device seems to be a growing trend among manufacturers of cameras, and is an excellent starting point: for those who like to show moving pictures, and would not use a capture device and a PMP for the storage, a good idea.

Today I had the opportunity to pitch in TZ50west nePanasonic Panasonic Lumix point-and-shoots, the TZ50 Wi-Fi ($ 449) and touch screen decorated FX500 ($ 399). We take our own units ready soon, but meanwhile, here are some first impressions:

    DMC-TZ50

As noted earlier, the TZ50 is integrated 802.11b / g Wi-Fi, integration with Google Picasa, and work at places like T-Mobile HotSpot. (Bonus: Comes with one year of free service.) Much to the embarrassment of my guests today, took several attempts to successfully download the photo, and when he did took a few minutes. To be fair, even if we were in a hotel with a T-Mobile HotSpot, we are not in the same room as your router. Otherwise, there is much to like about the first Wi-Fi camera from Panasonic:

    * Unlike EyeFi that automatically downloads all your photos at once, the Panasonic interface lets you cherry pick your albums that you take Google’s Picasa.
    * While the main attraction of having a Wi-Fi camera is that you can upload photos on the fly, you can also use Panasonic interface to display your Picasa album when you’re away from your computer.
    * The camera is an excellent power management, uses less than one watt when Wi-Fi is active, which means you can download images and still take about 300 photos before the battery offers.

What I like the camera screen from Panasonic is the first contact coPanasonic FX500mpany obviously not brought a touch interface just to be fashionable. They seem to have learned from other companies, including small icons allow ourselves unnecessarily spice to the screen with the relatively large size fingers. In addition to a pen, the FX500 has a panel of buttons on the right side of the LCD screen as a device without touching, you can always return to the traditional input button if you feel frustrated. (Sony Cyber-shot DSC-T300 will not give users this option.)

But they have not yet learned the best part (they have buttons next to a touch screen, after all, not long ago). Panasonic FX500 screenAlthough capacitive touch not touch the touch screen is more intuitive than the cameras of the other touch screen, where all you can do is press the icons as if “they were the buttons. Here you can adjust the focus by dragging your finger a slide on the screen (remember to unlock the iPhone). Better yet, when you’re in playback mode, you can click a photo in which you want to enlarge and drag your finger to move the image. If only I could slip through images that I can on the iPhone.

It is too early to say I’m impressed, but I know I’m excited about the idea more concrete time with these new models. Stay tuned for full reviews.

p80 front34r on Nikon Releases 18X Super Zoom, Makes Us Drool

Shnikes Holy See. As much as we like Nikon digital SLR entry-level, the company gives photographers P80matuer CoolPix Anikon another reason to consider high-end super-zoom instead. The Coolpix P80, today announced the bags, 18x optical zoom, 10.1 megapixels, and a variety of features designed for more advanced users, including aperture priority, shutter-priority and manual mode. It also has Nikon’s Optical Vibration Reduction (VR) technology for more stable shots, and has a new continuous shooting mode of Sports, which allows users to take up to 30 consecutive shots at four, six or thirteen paintings by second. It also has ISO up to 6400 (but, of course, you must enjoy it 5MP) and a large 2.7 inch LCD screen.

All this for $ 399. Not bad when you consider that you get creative manual SLR (minus the steep learning curve), and more zoom you get with a standard lens kit.

panasonic lumix dmc fx500 Panasonic Adds Touch to its Lumix LinePanasonic has unveiled its first touchscreen camera today DMpanasonic-Lumix DMC-FX500-fx500.jpgC ($ 399), whose hybrid interface includes a joystick and a screen that reacts to your finger and stylus. Although I can not wait until capacitive touch found its way into the camera, I am glad that Panasonic has decided to throw in a joystick (the new Kodak EasyShare V1073, by comparison, has only four dedicated buttons lining touchscreen). Panasonic at least seems to have understood that, until now, the cameras on the touch screen at least were not as practical as be.So paint, this is what you do with the 3-inch touch screen: the use of cursors screen to adjust aperture and shutter speed, adjust the auto focus and exposure by simply touching the object on the screen at the register, scroll through the images in playback mode and to organize and edit photos using a keyboard on the screen.

Apart from the touch screen, the FX500 packs 10.1 megapixels each specifications you’d expect to see at a high level point and shoot: 5x optical zoom, optical image stabilization, 720p video, face detection In camera-eye correction Red Intelligent Auto Mode, which automatically detects the shooting environment and selects the best scene mode. (Like Lumix cameras, has also spent 21 scene modes, you can select manually.) Wait to start shipping in May.

optio v20 Pentax’s Newest Camera Has Smile, Blink DetectionStealing a page programming Sony, Pentax, with its new Optio V20 point andPentax shoot, the Optio V20 ($ 279) with smile detection. Sony has improved, too, and threw the blink detection. The camera also has 8 megapixels with 5x optical zoom, a 3-inch LCD screen, Face Detection and Auto-Macro mode for close fast.

As the technology of Sony, Pentax Smile detection automatically detects the shutter when subjects happy. blink detection has nothing to do with the trigger, but warns him blinkage after suffering a blow. This seems a bit unnecessary since you already have a large 3-inch LCD screen on which to read the images. Following the detection of flicker, simply means that you do not choose the playback mode before shouting: “No!”

dsc h50 black sylized Sony Saved Its Two Most Speced Out Cameras For LastSony has been very busy lately. Barely two months into the new year, the company has already launched ten cameras, two digital SLR cameras. This morning it has added two high-end cameras in its range, 13.6-megapixel DSC-W300 ($ 349) and the DSC-H50 15x ($ 399), both will be available in May.

Although we tend to hammer the idea that high resolution and ginormous zoom is not the alpha and omega of the specifications of the camera, we can not fail to be impressed.

13.6 megapixel cameras are people who want the ability to post images of the print size. The W300 in particular is for people who can not afford to skimp on either house cleaning and especially Sony have to offer nowadays. For $ 349 you get Smile Shutter Intelligent Scene Recognition Mode (ISCN), five color modes (including “real”), 12 scene modes (including a new underwater mode), three noise reduction settings, and Sony D Plus-Range Optimizer (DRO), which improves the shadow detail in shooting situations with a back light difficult.

Calls H50 9.1 megapixels to an emerging class who are intimidated by (or can afford), Digital SLR, and might just as versatile with ultra zoom camera. Like many digital SLR cameras including the Sony Alpha DSLR-A300 and A350 itself, has a tilt LCD screen, making it easier to shoot from difficult angles. In addition, capture flash objects up to 55 meters, and the camera features NightShot technology and advanced sports mode. “Like the W300, has ISCN, DRO, three noise reduction settings, and five color modes. It also has the face and smile detection for adults and children, a feature in many of the latest Sony digital cameras.

sony alpha dslr a350 Sony’s Beefs Up Its Newish DSLR FamilyOnly three weeks after the launch of the Alpha DSLR-A200, the monitoring of its first digital SLR, the Alpha DSLR-A100, Sony introduced two models for more advanced users: the Alpha DSLR-A300 ($ 799 U.S. April) and Alpha DSLR-A350 ($ 899, March).

The big news is that these cameras are the first Sony DSLR line to include Live View shooting, which allows users to frame photos on the LCD. For all the sports photographers you curious about upgrading to a DSLR, it is not a standard feature, as it is to point and shoot.

The disadvantage is that the Live View mode, with many brands, which undermines the ability of the camera to take pictures quickly and processes. 10.2 The two A300 and A350 MP 14.2 MP image sensor has a dedicated live, so do not take advantage of the resources to actually take pictures. To begin with, both models have a 2.7-inch variable angle LCD for easy framing.

We liked the A100 slim, and these two models are very rare, and have a cluttered interface. Like previous models, have a level of anti-dust up to ISO 3200, support for JPEG and RAW, and a CompactFlash card slot.

If you have extra money to blow, Sony also introduced two high-end lenses to be available in April: SAL2470Z ($ 1,750) and SAL70300G ($ 799). Otherwise, both the A300 and A350 will be sold in a kit.

Not so long as we have given the price of SD card Eye-Fi wireless mobile innovation.
