Archive for the ‘Nokia’ Category
Nokia has gone touch crazy. After a spate of releases in the high-end category of smartphones, Nokia is now switching its focus to the mid-end smartphone category with its new C6-01. The new Nokia C6-01 manages to pack most of the premium features that can be seen in the new Nokia N8 to a more affordable class of phones. The C6-01 is not to be mistaken for the recently launched Nokia C6 as this is a different phone.
The Nokia C6-01 differs from the C6 in one major aspect, QWERTY keypad. Multimedia seems to be the forefront of this device as this is equipped with an 8-megapixel camera at the back which can shoot great quality photos and 720p HD videos at 25 fps. The camera is equipped with a Dual-LED flash which provides ample lightning for taking photos in low light conditions. The 3.2-inch AMOLED display is capacitive and this feature allows multiple touch recognition unlike a resistive one.
The Symbian ^ 3 operating system makes it possible to have your home screen personalized to your specifications with various widgets and shortcuts. The phone comes with major social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter integration. The phone supports 3.5G connections and has in-built Wi-Fi as well as GPS with free lifetime navigation. The box comes bundled with a 2GB memory card, which should you feel insufficient could be expanded to 32GB through a hot swappable microSD card expansion slot. The 1050 mAh battery offers nearly 720 minutes of talk time in GSM mode.
The C6-01 measures in at 14mm in thickness, which is not the thinnest, but is acceptable. Nokia is offering the C6-01 in two different colours, Black and Silver grey. The C6-01 is expected to be launched in the fourth quarter of this year and should retail around £200-£250. You can find it for less by comparing deals at best-mobile-contracts.co.uk.
